Generally, a download manager enables downloading of large files or multiples files in one session. Many web browsers, such as Internet Explorer 9, include a download manager. Stand-alone download managers also are available, including the Microsoft Download Manager. If you do not have a download manager installed, and still want to download the file(s) you've chosen, please note:. You may not be able to download multiple files at the same time.
In this case, you will have to download the files individually. (You would have the opportunity to download individual files on the 'Thank you for downloading' page after completing your download.).

Hi, I've just sent those questions to Microsoft but maybe you guys can help me too. We use Windows CE 4.2, Windows Embedded CE 6.0R3 and Windows Embedded Compact 7 in our devices. The question is related to the support offered by Microsoft for those OS. When I look at the following page, I see that Windows CE 4.2 has support up to June 1st, 2013. What does that mean exactly? We should have get QFE or updates up to this date?. Is there a place where we would find all CE 4.2 related updates?.
Also, I would like to clarify that for CE 6.0 and WEC 7. What is the difference between “End of Support” and “End of License”?. What is the notion of Extended Support? After this date you will not get any QFE updates for this product.

Check out this below link 3.Above link contains WinCE 6 and WEC7 updates. 4.The link shared by you contains the explanation End of support refers to the date when Microsoft no longer provides automatic fixes, updates or online technical assistance. End of the license refers to the date when a particular version of Windows Embedded is no longer shipped. So End of support means there will not be any development activity after this period even if you go through support channel. But you can buy the OS licenses for your existing devices until the end of license date.
Please mark it as answer or vote as helpful if my reply helps. Regards, PrabueMVP. Thank you for your answer. But if I look at this website (they talk about. For CE 4.2, it is 2008 and 2013. But they stopped providing QFE in 2008.
For CE 6.0, it is 2013 and 2018. We still receive QFE and we are after the mainstream support date. Which is in contradiction with CE 4.2. Which date is the right one related to the last date we will receive QFE? Notes Microsoft Windows CE.NET 4.2 6/1/2003 7/8/2008 7/9/2013 Notes Windows Embedded CE 6.0 4/9/2013 4/10/2018 Notes Windows Embedded Compact 7 3/15/2011 4/12/2016 4/13/2021 Thanks David. From the page (that you originally linked: The lifecycle begins when a product is released and ends when it's no longer supported or sold.
End of support refers to the date when Microsoft no longer provides automatic fixes, updates or online technical assistance. End of the license refers to the date when a particular version of Windows Embedded is no longer shipped.

Hello, What does it mean that WEC7 will be end of life by a certain date? I understand that Microsoft will no longer support the product, meaning there will not be any more updates, but what does this mean for devices that are actually in the field? Can WEC7 continue to be licensed even after the EOL date? Is it only the lack of support from Microsoft that will make it undesirable to develop a new product with WEC7?
Specifically, if we were to develop a very simple stripped down device that performed a certain task, why does it matter whether the OS is EOL or not? Or is it the case that Microsoft will stop licensing the product after a certain date, so you will not be able to use it on any new devices period after the EOL date?
